… is the best way to find yourself.

When you’re surrounded by others, it’s too easy to get lost in the crowd.

It’s so easy for us to get caught up in social and community groups that can give us a sense of purpose and belonging. But that can be a false sense of identity. True knowledge of self is only found within the confines of one’s own heart and one’s own being. It’s much easier to hide behind the cache of a group, then it is to stand apart from the crowd and be yourself.

You don’t have to have all the answers in life, you have only to stand up within yourself and be open to exploring the unknown.

When you get still within yourself, answers always come. The feeling of being lost is a gift that opens you up to true vulnerability and within that vulnerability, you can dive deep into the vastness of your own being.

No one wants to feel lost, but if you allow yourself to go deep into the loneliness, you might just find who and what you were searching for all along. The answers you seek are never outside, but always lie within you.

… it gets you lost in the crowd.

We’re all here for a unique reason and that reason is to be who we are, not fit in to anyone elses’ mold.

You don’t need to be part of a group in order to be seen. When you’re in the group, you blend in and get lost. But when you can stand just outside the group, your colors shine brightly.

It is true, that being part of a group can be a way of identifying ourselves. So, go ahead, pick the group that mirrors you best and then stand just outside it. Stand far enough away from it that you can be part of it but not of it.

Take space and honor yourself. In time, the group will recognize your importance because they will be able to see you just out on the edge where you are easily identified.

Do you want your light to shine? Don’t put it out by trying to fit into the crowd. Be yourself. Your light will always light your way and it will naturally draw others to it.

People's opinions… are theirs, NOT YOURS.

They have absolutely no bearing over your life, unless you give it to them.

You don’t need anyone’s opinion to be who you are. No one needs to agree with you or needs to agree with how you are showing up and/or how you are living your life.

If who you are doesn’t work for someone, then that person doesn’t work in your life and their opinions subsequently should be of little consequence to you.

You only get ONE life to live (this time around anyway), why would you spend it trying to be something for someone else? People who need you to be something other than who you are don’t like themselves. And if they do not like themselves, chances are their opinions of you will not be very favorable.

It doesn’t matter what people think. It only matters what YOU THINK. Don’t live your life in fear of what other people might think about you. Take back your control and put that energy back into yourself and your work and build your life. When you learn to really love and value yourself, your life takes off in amazing ways and you will find that other people’s opinions of you change in your favor without your even trying.

It’s not about what other people think, it’s about what YOU THINK. If you want others to like you and accept you, learn to like and accept yourself. It’s your life and when you can live it and learn to love it and support it, you will find that others will easily follow suit.
