Unknown… so you can become even better.

Know who you are – know all your issues, baggage and insecurities. Know absolutely everything about yourself – the good, the bad and the indifferent. Be brutally honest with yourself. The more work you do on becoming aware of who you are and how you show up in life, the better of a life you create for yourself.

Awareness creates growth – lack of awareness creates negative patterns. Do you want to move forward in your life?  Become cognizant of your behaviors and your reactions to others. Ask yourself how you are showing up? Are you being the best version of YOU? Or are you unconsciously spewing venom at others?

Know who you are… know your issues, baggage and your insecurities and never throw them on anyone else. Remember who you are is YOURS, it is not anyone else’s fault that you feel a certain way or that you have a certain situation going on.

When you can practice awareness and see yourself objectively, you can make better choices for yourself – one’s that will allow you to grow and become the best you can be. When you don’t have a clue as to who you are and how you prefer to show up in life or what behaviors you prefer to engage in, you will find yourself at the mercy of whatever mood swing is on deck. Who you are is greater than any mood swing/anger outburst. Never give your power over to any volatile emotion to define who you are.

There are none so blind as those who just will not see. Wake up, open your eyes and recognize how you are comunicating. Your life experience is directly proportional to the behaviors you put out there. Time to learn who you are and start becoming even better.

Unknown… are usually the ones who have the most work to do.

Everyone has issues. EVERYONE.

Conscious people are the ones who KNOW what their issues are and do not blame others for their own shortcomings.  But not everyone is conscious. Not everyone owns up to their inadequacies.

One of the major life lessons a person can have is known as “self-perfection”. Individuals with this life lesson are here to do serious work on themselves – to “perfect themselves” so to say. But all too often, those with this life lesson may become somewhat misguided and as a result demand perfection of everyone around them instead of themselves. It is easier for them to find fault in you then it is for them to turn the mirror on themselves.

Those who continually find fault in others are generally those who have the most work to do on themselves and they are conveniently avoiding looking at their own behavior.

Do your work. Know what your issues are and give the rest back. Don’t own what is not yours. If you take it on, you will start to embody it in no time. When your critics start to judge you, you should be able to detach from their commentary with a sense of ease. Recognize that the person you are dealing with is having issues doing their own work. Yours is not to save them or fix them. Yours is to not own their criticisms. Yours is to turn the mirror back on them and walk away with your head up high.

Owning “what is yours” empowers you, it holds you responsible and accountable for your life. It makes you stronger and wiser and brings great rewards to the table for you.

Those who prefer holding others accountable are not accepting responsibility for their life. They are the ones who remain lost – for without blame they have no sense of recourse. For sure, they remain stuck by their own hand.

Take control back of your life. Own what is yours and turn the mirror back on those who just cannot see.

You take it all with you.

It is human nature to carry your bags with you. All of it. We all carry heavy burdens of issues – packed up discreetly or not so discreetly as our “baggage.” We insist on carting this baggage around with us into every new relationship, job and situation.

We try and show up as the best version of ourselves, yet we will not let go of our bags. We stand smiling at the front door while we are invited in by our host and instead of discreetly storing our bags away in the guest closet until it is time to unpack them, we find ourselves running into our host’s main room and exploding open our bags like a crazy person – exposing the most intimate parts of ourselves (panties and all!) at very inopportune times. Why do we do this?

In life, there is a big difference between being open/vulnerable and being needy/unconscious. You always want to be yourself and be genuine but at the same time, it is important that you are conscious. It is important that you realize everything that you have packed into your bags and recognize it is yours when it rears its ugly head out of the baggage. Never confuse its contents with those of your host. In other words, own what is yours and give the rest back.

You have a lifetime to sort through your baggage. Try and streamline it – deal with your issues and evolve onwards. You will blame people less, resent people less, distrust people less and grow consciously into the being you were meant to. Life gets easier for you and people find it easier to be around you. Do the work – lesson your load, you do not need to throw your dirty laundry all over your partner’s living room in order to be seen and heard. There is a better way to show up. Pack your bags lightly, the soul is eternal and your baggage is your load to carry lifetime after lifetime. How heavy are your bags?
