… it’s a place you cultivate within yourself.

The mistake humanity makes is in thinking that happiness can ever be found outside you. The material world is fleeting. $$$, jobs, homes, cars, bonuses, reputations all have an expiration date. You can’t take them with you when your time is up. They are not a measure of your true success so they can never truly create lasting happiness.

Happiness is a state of mind. It’s a divine connection to source — something greater that created this universe. It’s in the trust that your soul is your greatest economy — that who you are is much greater than who this sick society tells you that you are.

When the world tries to tear you down and tell you that you’re a failure, can you stand up and say, I love who i am and I love the life i’ve created for myself? True happiness is an inside job. Those who do not love themselves will never be able to find it. If you’re still only seeking happiness in the material world, you’ll forever be lost in the seas of depression.

… you’re not healed.

Even if you think you are.

We only know who we are in relationship to another person, so our relationships are our greatest acid test for the consciousness we are holding.

If someone is able to trigger you into an emotional response, you are not resolved within yourself. Everyone has their own buttons, but if you allow someone else to push those buttons and it creates a reactance of anger and hate within you, that work is on YOU. Don’t spend your energy hating on that person for triggering you, ask yourself why you got triggered? Why does that person make you angry? What about them is triggering for you? That is what needs to be looked at. Blaming them for your anger is misdirected energy and it only keeps you stuck in your own unconscious and distorted mindset.

Hate and anger is a dead give-away for a soul who is still unhealed. A conscious and healed being doesn’t need to react with hate and anger, they’re able to tap into the higher realms of compassion and empathy for those for whom they may disagree with.

Hate is too heavy a burden to carry. If you hold hate for anyone in your life, you’ll never be free. You will forever be bound to that person because you were unable to resolve the hatred you hold in your heart. And that hatred is a venom that will only poison your soul. Life is too short to be buried under your own hate. The opportunity is now to find your own healing so your healing can inspire the healing of our planet. Are you ready to heal?

… you have to step outside the crowd.

And that’s never comfortable.

No one likes to step outside the known reality/the consensus reality because we falsely believe that there is “safety in numbers,” so we religiously “follow the herd.” We figure, “they must know something we don’t,” so we join them because we figure “it is better to be part of something than to stand idle alone.” But this is the greatest misnomer of our time.

Truth is, no individual can know themselves within the context of a group. The group dictates a standard that phase-locks individuals to a false identity. Therefore, one has to get outside the group in order to see their own colors, otherwise the group dynamic will muddy those colors.

Many of us get lost in the crowd and identify ourselves as part of the crowd. But who you truly are can never be identified if you are hiding in the crowd. In order to be who you are, you must step outside the crowd and stand in your own light. And that is what scares most of us and consequently what leads most of us to stay hidden in the crowd. No one wants the spotlight shown upon them.

Are you ready to be seen? Are you ready to take a stand for your self and your soul? Get out of the darkness and step into your light.

These days, the crowd is increasingly breaking down and the time is coming to make your own road home. Are you ready to chart your individual course? The universe is waiting on you.

… are opposite sides of the same coin.

These are difficult times where it’s very easy to fall into fear and allow it to destroy us. But that doesn’t serve anyone. We’re not here to be enslaved by our fears; we are here to champion our dreams.

It helps to know that humans exist in a state of duality where we need to experience both positive and negative polarity in order to find our way in life. There are only 2 directions — light/love and dark/fear and fear has a purpose, it exists as a necessary state of resistance meant to drive us back towards the higher frequency of love. In other words, fear is a vibrational default that keeps us from collapsing into a sinkhole. We come up to it, experience it and we’re meant to re-direct ourselves away from it and back into the light.

But many of us get caught in that sinkhole and collapse into a pit of darkness because we think we have no other choice. But there is always a choice. We can either choose to feed the fear and become worriers or we can choose to run towards love and become warriors.

Warriors ascend in consciousness whereas worriers descend into fear.

Warriors don’t give up whereas worriers give in to the fear, pressure and pain.

Warriors focus on realizing their dreams whereas worriers let their greatest fears run their life.

Warriors find a way to conquer any obstacle in their way whereas worriers give their power over at the first sign of distress.

Warriors don’t take no for an answer whereas worriers accept less than they deserve.

Warriors find a way to make their lives better whereas worriers decide it can never get better.

In life, it never matters what happens to you, all that matters is what you do with it. Are you a warrior or a worrier? Life never gets better as a worrier, it only gets worse. Sadness and despair can only beget more of the same. Where are you going in life? Warriors go places whereas worriers can only go into a downward spiral. No more excuses, it’s time to step into the role of warrior. The rest of your life depends on it.

… is a defense mechanism of the EGO.

It’s a highly unconscious method of deflecting attention away from one’s own shadow work. It protects a fragile ego by deflecting attention away from the person who has the work to do and projecting it onto the one who presumably “offended them.” It’s a convenient distraction strategy, “look over there, not here.”

It’s much easier to blame someone else than it is to look in the mirror. You see, we always dislike in others what we unconsciously dislike about ourselves. It’s human nature.

When you know who you are, there is nothing to take offense to and no one who can ever offend you. But when your identity is tied to an ideology, your identity construct becomes weakened and easily hijacked.

Nothing anyone says or does has anything to do with you unless you make it about you. Being offended is a cop out; it shows people you are more interested in projecting blame than accepting responsibility for your own behavior which may or may not be unrelated.

Instead of being offended by others, why not put that energy into maintaining a healthy sense of self? When you know who you are, no one can ever challenge you. And if we all knew who we were, we wouldn’t spend anymore time projecting blame unto others, but would spend it in harmony with them.

… it’s always taking you somewhere else.

Life is an uphill climb and it’s made up of many steps. There is no single step that is ever going to be forever. So why allow yourself to get tripped up over the step you’re on?

You’re never meant to get stuck on a step and you’re never meant to skip steps. Life moves in phases and when you’re finished with one step, it’s time to take the next one. But many of us get disheartened because we are unhappy with the step we’re on. It’s ok to dislike the step you’re on, you’re not meant to be on it forever — just keep climbing — you’re always on your way somewhere else and that step is a necessary evil in getting you there.

… is the best way to find yourself.

When you’re surrounded by others, it’s too easy to get lost in the crowd.

It’s so easy for us to get caught up in social and community groups that can give us a sense of purpose and belonging. But that can be a false sense of identity. True knowledge of self is only found within the confines of one’s own heart and one’s own being. It’s much easier to hide behind the cache of a group, then it is to stand apart from the crowd and be yourself.

You don’t have to have all the answers in life, you have only to stand up within yourself and be open to exploring the unknown.

When you get still within yourself, answers always come. The feeling of being lost is a gift that opens you up to true vulnerability and within that vulnerability, you can dive deep into the vastness of your own being.

No one wants to feel lost, but if you allow yourself to go deep into the loneliness, you might just find who and what you were searching for all along. The answers you seek are never outside, but always lie within you.

… it’s a bully move to get someone to carry your pain.

Everyone carries a certain degree of pain, but not everyone is conscious of that burden. For some, guilt is their weapon of choice. When people are unable to fully process their pain and feel as if they are drowning in it, they may wield a portion of it in the form of guilt. And when you accept that guilt, you carry a bit of that pain for them.

The problem with guilt is that it invites enabling. These behaviors work hand-in-hand. If you accept someone’s “guilt trip,” you give them power over you to bully you into carrying some of that pain. By doing so, you lighten their burden in the short term, but have succeeded in creating a deeper burden for them in the long term.

Pain never leaves you until you work through it. No one can do it for you.

Don’t think you are helping someone by being guilted into something. Guilt is a power play, it’s a bully move to get someone to carry your pain. The real hero is in penetrating the pain and transforming it into something much more beneficial. When you recognize that guilt is deconstructive — and you vow never to take it on — the person in pain will finally be free to heal.

… does NOT lead to success.

Action born out of inspiration, does.

As humans we try and muscle our way through life. We force actions and we force our agenda onto our own timelines and we wonder why the actions we take do not yield the desired outcomes we seek.

If you do not feel inspired to take an action, don’t take it. Wait on it. Not feeling inspired to take an action is a clear indication that you are not aligned with the action you need to take. Take a time out —  take a reset — go take a nap  — go for a walk in nature — go seek some inspiration. Once you find a bit of inspiration, you will align with your higher guidance and then you will naturally be called to take the exact actions that will yield the desired outcomes you seek.

It’s an inspiration game. Action alone will not yield success. Action that is born out fear, anxiety, desperation or struggle will be met with much resistance. This is because action can only take you so far in life. It’s a lower dimensional means of manifestation.

When an action comes from a place of passion, excitement, enthusiasm and inspiration, it will energetically charge the action that you are taking and thus yield the positive outcome you seek.

Vibration trumps action. If the energy behind the action is not igniting the action, it will fall flat. Action born out of struggle never leads to success. If struggle is behind your action, it’s destined to follow in that direction. Never force anything. If you don’t feel inspired, don’t do it. Wait until the moment of inspiration comes. Save your energy — once you’re sufficiently inspired, you can channel that energy into your action and watch the magic unfold.

Dancing With Your Demons

… is easier than trying to lasso them to the ground.

It just is.

Think about it… when your demons come up (and they always do), it’s much harder to suppress them then it is to face them and renegotiate with them.

It takes so much emotional and physical strength to wrestle your demons back down when you see them come up. Then you have to be careful where you tread because you will naturally run into situations and people who trigger those demons. It’s exhausting to try and hypercontrol your life so to avoid awakening your demons. Better to face them when they come up and renegotiate a better plan for them.

When you address your demons straight on, you can learn from them, grow from them and transform them once and for all. No one says it will be easy, but it is the healthiest way to deal with those demons.

Don’t let your demons destroy you; they are very purposeful. They allow you to acknowledge the darkness, for it is only through your darkness that you can transform yourself into the light.
