images… It’s always about the WHY.

In life we get caught up in the daily drama of WHAT is happening to us – “Who did what to us? Who said what to us, etc…”. We get sucked into the drama and it’s subsequent villains and tragedies. We make “what is happening to us” our story, when in reality it’s NOT our story at all.

To truly understand your story, you must learn to look past “WHAT is happening to you” and look at “WHY it is happening to you.” Inherent in every “what” is always a “why”. In other words, what life lesson is showing up in your life right now and what does it have to teach you? Don’t shoot the messenger, the “what” is just the delivery system for the “why.” Every time we fail to get the “why” another “what” shows up to give us yet another chance to figure it out.

So don’t get hung up on all the “whats”, looked past them to find the pattern of “why”. Once you get the lesson, it stops and life becomes happier and easier. Are you ready to see your life more clearly? When you learn to ask “why”, the “whats” no longer have any control over you. It is only then that you find more meaning in your life then ever before. What are you waiting for?

karma-1… as long as you’re still on it.

If there is negativity between you and someone else, then you are karmically connected to that person whether you want to be or not. Did they harm you, humiliate you or slight you in any way? Are you angry with them or hurt by their actions? If so, you are karmically bound to them until that karma is repaid or worked through somehow.

How do you work through it, you might ask? Working through karma is NEVER about winning or getting even. If you are still feeling the need to do that, you haven’t gotten the lesson yet. Do you really want to be free of this person? Then learn to free yourself from the karmic wheel. Freedom does NOT come from fighting and winning, it comes from FORGIVENESS – forgiving yourself as well as forgiving the other person.

Every negative situation you encounter helps you to be a better person. Once you can understand what you were meant to learn from the experience and how it made you grow into a better person, then you can forgive the situation and eventually forgive the other person thus freeing you from karma’s grip. That is the space where real freedom and healing takes place.

Balancing karma establishes harmony in relationships. You do not have to balance karma by playing the “tit for tat” game. You can rise above that game and jump ahead to your own freedom by forgiving yourself and forgiving the person/situation.

Forgiveness frees you from the karmic wheel. Trying to get even keeps you stuck on it. The wheel of karma will always keep spinning. Ask yourself if you want to be on it?

bcdce64b9596462be6c2bec052b0c814… so if you want something, GIVE it to someone else.

Everything is energy.  The universe reads what is around you and continues to give you more of it. It doesn’t matter if you are receiving it or giving it, the energy of it is around you. So if you feel as if it is NOT specifically in your life, give it to someone else and the energy of having “it around you” will bring it directly to you.

Think of it as a Karmic bank account. In order to withdrawl something, you must put something into the account. So to withdrawl exactly what you want, it must already be in the account. If you are putting it out into the universe for others, it will be in your account to withdraw at your leisure when you want it. If you are not putting it out into the universe, there is nothing in your account to withdrawl and things do not change.

When you give, you receive the same energy in return. For example:

If you want more money… donate money to a cause or someone who needs it.

If you want a more supportive work environment… give support to others in your life (family, friends, colleagues)

If you want romantic love… give love to others (family, friends, pets, strangers)

If you want more appreciation for the work you do – show appreciation for everything around you (gifts, friendships, food, experiences)

If you wish people were kinder to you – show small acts of kindness to everyone around you (whether they deserve it or not)

It is only in giving that we receive, so this holiday season, if you want something, GIVE it to someone else. There is no big secret here. The universe may seem to work in mysterious ways, but it is all very logical. It is only in the giving that we will ever receive what we want in life. Are you ready to give? Happy Holidays!

Unknown… is the only reason you are here.

You are here right now to learn. That is it. That is the big mystery of life. You are here to improve yourself and your level of consciousness. With every lesson learned in a lifetime, you move up – closer to happiness, closer to freedom, closer to God.

This is why it is extremely important that we are consciously walking through life and not sleepwalking our way through it. Sleepwalking is a favorite pastime of ours – numbing ourselves with overworked schedules, alcohol, food, drugs, electronics, media, etc…

If you are ready to be more conscious and want to know what is really going on in your life, look at your landscape. Who are the people and situations around you? How are they influencing you? What affect do they have on you day-to-day?

We make contracts with other souls to teach us our life lessons. Nothing every shows up in our lives that doesn’t have a reason for being and that reason is to teach us something. Our work is to decipher the lesson, overcome it and make our life better because of it.

Wonder what your life lessons are? Here are a few basic life lessons that many people face today:

If you are working on Self-esteem, you will attract people who walk all over you/take you for granted.

If you are working on Anger you will attract people who test your patience.

If you are working on Tolerance, you will attract people who challenge your notions of what is proper/acceptable.

If you are working on Self-worth, you will attract people who try to undermine you/cross your boundaries.

If you are working on Selfishness, you will attract people who are needy.

If you are working on Forgiveness, you will attract people who continually hurt you.

If you are working on Emotional Independence, you will attract people who try to control you.

If you are working on Balance, you will attract people who create drama in your life.

If you are working on Patience, you will attract people who push your buttons.

Now that you start to recognize the pattern, you can make great change in your life and change you WILL MAKE. Learn your lessons – get them early. The longer it takes you to get them, the harder they get. They repeat with each new relationship you have until you stop buying into the lesson and start reacting differently. When you finally get the lesson, it stops… and life continues on – much sweeter and easier.

Are you ready to learn?

… you can’t take it back.

Believe it or not all words and actions have consequences. Some more severe than others. Sometimes when we are out of balance in our lives, we make impulsive decisions that may affect our futures. These impulsive decisions are made simply with the intent to make us feel better in the moment and NOT made for our highest good.

Life is meant to be led one step at a time. Every emotion is meant to be felt and dealt with, not run from. If you are making an impulsive decision to feel better in the moment and run from your pain, it will catch up with you. You cannot run from yourself and life offers us no “quick fixes,” that is for sure.

Slow down, take life one step at a time. Ask yourself before you make ANY decision, “is this decision going to bring me to where I want to be in my life” OR “is it going to sabotage my job, my love, or my relations with friends and family?” Once we slow down and process the implications of our actions, we may find that we are in a better place to make a different decision.

It is in a calm and centered space that we find the ability to NOT react hastily and make a decision we may regret. Life is too short to impulsively throw it away on a bad decision. No one needs to look back and regret something they have done. Stop. Slow down. Be in the moment and think before you act. I promise you if you live your life from this centered space, you will always make an informed decision NOT an impulsive one. We want to own our lives, not regret them.

… we have all jumped on board and gone for the ride.

How enjoyable is it really? For those of us who are emotionally balanced, it is NOT. For those of us learning the very difficult life lesson of “finding balance” in life, it proves to be an on-going ride of extremes.

This is how it works…. those who seek to be balanced will be continually drawn into high drama situations with high drama people and lots of crisis and chaos along the way. In other words, they undergo a type of life plan that continually sends them into high-highs and low-lows over and over again. This wild swing is meant to make them so miserable that they learn to stop reaching for what they think is going to make them feel better (a drink, drug, food, unhealthy relationship, travel escape, etc..) and begin to start slowing down the rate of the swing to find themselves at their own center-point.

The important thing to remember in life is that no one intentionally chooses to torture themselves per se. They choose to undergo this difficult learning lesson so that they can grow and evolve into a healthier and happier being – one who fully understands that his/her happiness will not be found in an impulsive reach for extremes.

By experiencing ourselves out of balance time and time again, we can begin to start finding our own center point.

It doesn’t end here… once you have found your own center point and achieved supreme balance in yourself, it is critical that you NOT impulsively jump on someone else’s emotional roller coaster ride! In other words, once you have learned this lesson yourself and you consciously decide to join forces with another who has NOT yet learned this lesson, you will be intensifying your own experience – you will now be on THEIR emotional roller coaster of life.

If you have already learned this lesson, it is important to find someone who possesses the same amount of stability, security and emotional peace you have already found in yourself. If you want life to be easier, calmer and more centered, learn to slow down your swing and for sure, learn to stay off other people’s swing sets.
