… ignoring it is betraying yourself.

We all have a small, still voice within that knows what’s right for us. It is our soul speaking to us saying “come over here… come over here.” But how many of us listen to it? How many of us give credence to our intuition? Not many.

We get caught up in the day-to-day grind of routine and ego. We tend to favor our head over our heart and often times make decisions based on a parody of “what makes sense” — “do the math” — “list the pros and cons.” Decisions made from this place often times go against the soul’s calling.

Believe it or not, it never matters what makes sense. All that matters is that we learn to listen to our hearts — that is the wisdom of the soul and it will never lead us astray.

Our soul knows why we are here. Our soul is always guiding us along our path of fate and steering us towards outcomes in support of our highest purpose. We just need to be aligned with it in order to achieve oneness with ourselves.

Oneness is found by listening to yourself. You have every answer you ever needed, you only have to ask yourself and then be grounded enough to listen to the response.

Your soul will never deceive you. If you don’t like what you hear, you may not like the path you are on. Intuition is a great arbiter of justice — it’s the process of listening to yourself. Ignoring it is akin to betraying yourself. If you cannot hear your intuition, ask yourself who are you hiding from? YOU are the only one you are running from.

… walk away from it.

At least for little while.

Then the answer becomes clear.

Pushing for answers doesn’t bring them quicker, it just highlights the questions.

You get what you focus on and if you’re obsessively focusing on the uncertainty, it creates more uncertainty. Clarity can only be found in a clear space and a clear space can only be found when all inquiries cease.

The best way to find clarity and to make decisions is to align with yourself get out of your head and into your heart. Stop mentally projecting outside of yourself for answers and ask yourself how you feel in every experience.

Life speaks to you through your experiences. Don’t focus on finding the answers. Live your life. It has every answer you will ever need.

Overthinking creates mental clutter. Living your life and feeling your way through your life brings solutions. With every experience you evolve and you intuitively learn where you need to be. Answers can never be artificially found outside of you, they have to be found inside you. If you can’t solve it, walk away from it and the answers will become clear.

… doesn’t make things easier for you.

It makes them HARDER.

Things may not always go the way you intended them to go and that has to be ok. Sure it might be upsetting and sure you might have wished you’d done things differently, and sure you might’ve even tried another approach to fix things but unfortunately was unable. What do you do now?

You can’t change what’s done. Focusing on the disappointment of the past keeps you trapped there. Learning the lesson from that experience frees you to move on.

Learning what you will never do again is by far one of the most powerful lessons one can learn. Transformation is never easy. If it doesn’t hurt, it’ll probably never change you.

Being hard on yourself is never the answer. Transformation is hard work. If you beat yourself up over your learning process, you’ll just impede your growth. Mistakes make you better if you learn from them. Don’t waste your time lamenting those mistakes, use that time to apply the learning and make your future better because of it.

ignorance-is-bliss1… or is it?

If ignorance is bliss, then why aren’t more people happy? Truth is burying your head in the sand does very little to help you heal difficult emotions.

Your emotions are an internal barometer to what is going on in your life. If you are unhappy at all, it is a sign to you that something is wrong and that some part of your life requires attention.

But we are so busy day-in and day-out, that we do not make the time to check-in with our emotions. We go on automatic pilot and just work off our to-do lists and wonder why happiness continues to elude us?

Here’s the deal… Ignoring your emotions will never make you feel better. It’s an avoidance strategy. It’s much easier to try and anesthesize yourself against those painful emotions then it is to address them head-on and ask yourself how you can transform them to get what you need out of life?

Your emotions tell you everything you need to know about what’s going on with you. If you’re wondering what’s going on with your life in particular and why things are feeling so painful, sad, chaotic, frustrating, angering, depressing or anxious, take a look at these emotions and start to ask yourself why you are feeling them? What or who is causing them? And what would it take to feel better?

Shedding the simple light of consciousness on these emotions will make all the difference in the world with how you feel and how you experience your life. Listen to your emotions, they are telling you what is wrong and what specifically needs healing. Trust me, ignorance is NEVER bliss. Bliss comes about only through conscious healing of your emotionality. Many things in life are meant to be easy; ignorance is something that makes life very hard.

Are you ready to be happy with your life?

… are always the hardest to make.

We all have an inner-knowing – that guide within us that secretly whispers in our ear and tells us what direction to go in life. But do we always listen to it? It is our soul, our intuitive guide, that tells us that something is not quite right.

Even though we may know that something is not quite right, we are not always able to make the right choice for ourselves because those choices generally involve pain. No one wants to make the choice that is going to be harder or more painful. Everyone wants to make the choice that is easier and where suffering is alleviated. The bigger question in life is do we want to live on the “Easy Path” or on the “Path of Life”.

Those who choose the “Path of Life” understand that in the game of life, easier doesn’t win you the race. The highest choices for ourselves are generally the ones that force us to grow and evolve further. Indeed, these high choices may crash us harder and faster BUT they transform into growth and happiness much quicker than the easier choices.

On the other hand, the “Easy Path” is laced with easier choices and they are just that, easier. They generally perpetuate an unsatisfactory situation for a much longer period of time. Easier choices have a way of delaying our growth. They keep us in a type of “bliss is ignorance” state of mind or a state of “easeful limbo,” a sort of “calm before the storm”. The problem is that through making easier choices, one takes the easy way out. Now, understand that you can only hide from your lessons for so long. It is just a matter of time before that storm hits full force and you come crashing down to the same place you would have had you made the highest choice years earlier. But this time, the pain is much more severe and there was much more at stake. Why do that to yourself? Why delay your progress?

Decisions made to help you avoid pain never work. How do you know when you make the right choice? It feels harder initially, but in the end, you reap far more benefits and you allow yourself to transform and move forward in life much more quickly. Remember, nothing good in life ever comes easy and nothing easy is ever really worth fighting for. What choice will you make next?

… and you will never be lead astray.

But how many of us can actually do that? Our minds are so cluttered and over-stimulated with such nonsense day in and day out that we can barely hear our intuition. We have also gotten very good at anesthetizing ourselves against our intuition through addiction: drugs, alcohol, sex, food, shopping, nicotine, etc… Addiction is a pre-occuping strategy to avoid the needs and calls of our soul. We can only sustain that pattern of behavior for so long before we break down. And we will always break down because we are going against the soul.

Our life is a delicate balance between the ego (personality) and the soul (higher self). The soul has planned this very lifetime and knows what lies ahead for us in terms of life lessons, romantic liasions, challenges, etc… The soul is constantly whispering in our ears, “go there, take that direction, try that out, explore that…” The voice in our head and the ideas that pop into our head in a seemingly random fashion are perfectly orchestrated by the soul to take us to that next level in our lives. But often times, we do not listen to it, or we are not capable of hearing it. We prefer to think that we know it all and we often times use our free will to move away from our intuitive nature.

If you want answers in your life, know that they never come from outside of you. You can ask for assistance and advice from others on your path, but nothing is a substitution for the directive of the soul. After all, your soul holds the blueprint of your life and knows exactly what you need to grow and learn, so why wouldn’t you ask it first?

We spend so much time in confusion and fear because we simply do not trust that we are the ones who have all the answers we seek. We are such an externally focused society that we have forfeited our beliefs in ourselves and continually give our power away to other people.

If you want answers in your life, go INSIDE. Get quiet for 5 minutes, sit in meditation, come to your yoga mat, pray and just LISTEN. You will always be given the answer in terms of a feeling, a knowing, an idea or even a sign from a friend or stranger, but you need to be conscious to fully recognize it – otherwise you will miss it completely. The language of the soul is very subtle and unfortunately our minds (as toxic as they have become) have the tendency to overpower our soul’s stirrings. Everything you need, you already have. Cut out the clutter and the drama of the ego and seek answers to your own questions. You will never lead yourself astray.
