… keeps you locked in a nightmare.

Dancing with fear is always a choice. Fearful thoughts lock you into a lower vibrational state; they elicit negative emotions which keep you trapped and looping in a pain-induced reality. But that’s not the way we’re meant to live. Once we understand the role of our feelings, we can begin to master our true alignment.

Feelings are key to mastering fear.

Feelings are a vibrational gauge as to the level of your consciousness you are holding and how you feel, determines how in-phase or out-of-phase you are to your true self. So, if you are feeling fearful, you are out of alignment with your highest potential.

It’s all about perspective. You are always in control of your own alignment. So learn to take control over your fear. Don’t let yourself fall into fear, change the way you feel about it.

Instead of fearing a doomed potential, why not allow yourself to see it as a “Jedi-warrior training? “I am not afraid of this fear, I am here to master it.” To master anything you must learn to dance with it properly. Don’t look to run from your fears, look at them as opportunities to master your emotions.

Shifting out of a fearful state is as easy as finding a more positive feeling that you can feel good about. You are learning to dance a better dance with fear; one where you are the one leading. Controlling your feelings can help to control your emotions and give you control over that which you fear.

… is the one who keeps coming back.

No one wants to deal with wolves, yet we all continually feeds these vicious, merciless beasts until they overtake us.

The wolves are your emotions — good wolves and bad wolves. Wolves are energetic constructs (emotional states) and they require our thoughts as food to fuel them. Our good wolves are the positive emotions of inspiration, passion, purpose, love and joy, etc.. The bad wolves are the anxiety, fear, anger, depression, and worry, etc..

It’s much easier to feed the bad wolves and think you are keeping yourself safe and away from harm. But it doesn’t work that way. The wolf you feed is the one who keeps coming back for more. If you continually feed negative emotions, those emotions will get bigger and bigger until they swallow you whole.

If you simply stop feeding negative emotions, they have to go somewhere else for fuel.  If you take your energy off the negative emotions, you lessen the chances of getting eaten by the very wolves you were feeding.

It’s the law of attraction — you get what you think about whether you want it or not. The wolf you feed is the one who comes back for more. Ask yourself if you want that wolf in your life? If the answer is no, stop feeding him. When you take your thoughts off the things that upset you, you starve them and marginalize their influence over your life. Hungry wolves don’t hang around very long. When they realize there is no more food, they leave and most likely never come back.

… generates very different outcomes.

Fear and uncertainty are very different emotions and therefore create very different realities. Fear and uncertainty both represent a future that is unknown, but they will create very different futures based on their vibrational feedback.

Fear recognizes that the future is unknown yet anticipates the worst possible scenario and then stands back and activates it.

Uncertainty also recognizes that the future is unknown yet holds the possibility that it might still yield a positive outcome.

Uncertainty offers options for growth while fear assumes the worst.

It’s ok to be cautious of the unknown, but it is never ok to fear it. Fear gives you no options — it’s  a death sentence. Recognize that the future is unknown but DON’T LABEL IT as fear; REDEFINE IT as uncertainty.

Fear guarantees that that which you fear will ultimately reappear in your life. Uncertainty helps talk you off the ledge and encourages you to see the potential for positive outcomes.

… run towards it.

It has something for you. If it triggers you, it teaches you.

But in our world, we are conditioned to run from fear rather than embrace it.

Buying into the fear, buries you. Facing the fear, transforms you.

If you resist what you fear, it will forever haunt you. But if you face it, you can begin to bring light to it and transform it. Don’t fear the darkness, the unknown brings opportunity.

If the caterpillar got lost in the darkness of the cocoon and gave up the fight, he would never give birth to the beauty of his wings.

Don’t stay stuck in a pattern of fear, you’ll never emerge into the light and without the light, there can no clarity.

Don’t run from what you fear, run towards it. If you fear it, it’s important for your growth, so have at it. If you keep running from it, it’ll come back with a vengeance and take you out. So face your fear head on, tell it to give you its best shot and in doing so, you’ll stand up to it and learn the lesson from it. Fear has no control over you unless you give it.

… is that it’s always changing.

If you’re unhappy with where you are, stick around — it’ll flip soon enough.

Nothing ever stays the same for very long and that’s a good thing. Change is inherent in our universe. What goes up, must come down.

Just like the coin has 2 sides, heads and tails, life has it’s ups and downs. Neither experience is better or worse, they’re just different and provide different learning. And ultimatelyboth sides need to be experienced equally.

Don’t get caught up bemoaning the tails. It’s a waste of your energy. It only keeps you attracting more tails in your life. Remember that for every tail experienced, you get “a-head”, literally.

There’s no good or bad in life, there are only different sides of the coin. Tails are the more challenging experiences that bring you amazing growth. Heads are the rewards for having gotten there. One naturally feels better, the other makes you better. But neither is better than the other.

You want both sides of the coin. They enrich you — they expand you — they push you to your limits — then reward you for your efforts. The flip side of life is that things are always changing and the coin is always flipping. Don’t get caught out lamenting the tails, without them, there would be no heads.

… run to it.

NOT away from it.

Fear is a cloaked opportunity for growth.

If you are frightened of it, it has power over you. If you stand up to it, you’ll be free.

Fear is a control issue. If you fear something, you feel out of control of it. The lesson is to learn how to empower yourself.

We always fear what we don’t understand. When you feel fear over something, empower yourself to learn more about it, get more involved, do more research to understand it. Find out more about it, so you can feel more in control of it.

What you fear controls you, what you stand up to falls away. Know your enemy, understand their motives or at least learn what they are. Knowledge is power — it’s the difference between ignorance and wisdom.

The more you know, the less you fear. If something scares you, have at it, dive into it and learn more about it. Don’t run from those fears, they’ll only get bigger. In time you’ll realize that the boogie man doesn’t really exist, he’s just stopping you from sleeping.

… they will run away with you.

And they will not return you to a better place.

Fears, like most negative emotions, have a very low vibration. This means that they have the propensity to manifest very quickly. So, if you put your energy into something you’re fearful of, you will only succeed in bringing it into your existence.

Fear is a perception-based reality. What you fear to be real, will be real for you. It’s all based on your perception. The way you look at things determines how those things play out for you. Speaking in front of 100 people, do you let yourself feel pangs of anxiety and panic or do you translate those nerves into excitement and adrenaline rush? What you perceive to be real will indeed be real for you.

Instead of feeding feelings of fear, why not try and re-interpret those feelings so to empower yourself? When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change and your life changes along with it.

Fear stops you from living. It robs you of your life. It keeps you small and robs you from having experiences. Take back your life, re-interpret those feelings of fear so you can explore deeper levels of yourself.

Fear keeps you stuck. Be brave, re-interpret your fear to uncover the empowerment. It’s always there, it’s just a matter of perception. If you let your fears run your life, they will run away with you and where will that leave you?    It’s your life, take back your power — stop feeding fear and start feeding your life again.

feeling pain… running from it is.

Believe it or not, pain isn’t a bad thing. It’s actually an indication that you are learning and growing. All growth requires some level of discomfort; it is called “growing pains.” This pain is inevitable and it signifies the emotional hard work and challenges that we all face day-to-day and for which we valiantly (hopefully) overcome.

But for some reason we try and avoid feeling this pain… we try and avoid it at all costs. But what we really do not understand is that avoiding the pain doesn’t make your life any better, it only intensifies the experience of the pain later on. Why? Because you can only stave off the lesson causing the pain for so long before it comes back with a vengeance. It’s just a matter of time before that lesson will come calling again and when it does, trust me, it means business.

Do yourself a favor. Don’t run from your life by hiding from your pain. Your escapism strategies (drugs, alcohol, food, tv, internet, sleeping, shopping, sex, etc..) only guarantee that you will get hit HARDER later on. Work through the pain when it presents itself the first time – get the lesson and get out so you can move forward with the rest of your life.

The pain isn’t there to torture you unduly so, it is there to enrich you and make you better. Pain is your friend. Go towards it and see what it has for you. When you allow yourself to fully go into the experience of the pain, you very quickly transform it and life gets better very easily. When you avoid that pain, you prolong and perpetuate the feelings of the pain for a very long time. Don’t wallow in your pain, do something about it. Stare it in the face and stare it down. Your life is too short to get shut out by your own pain. Feeling pain is never the problem, running from it always is.

th… unless you make it that way.

These are two completely different concepts. Do you know the difference?

Being alone assumes one loves themselves and fully enjoys and appreciates themselves. They are comfortable in their skin, emotionally well-adjusted and although they enjoy the company of others, they are quite contented to be alone and find just as much happiness and fulfillment in their aloneness.

Being lonely is when you are not comfortable within yourself, when your own company isn’t quite enough to soothe or entertain you. It is when you require someone or something outside of you to make you happy because you cannot find that happiness within yourself. It is when you default to any type of distraction (drugs, alcohol, food, tv, sleep, etc…) to keep you from feeling your own pain and loneliness because the solitude of being on your own is simply too painful to bear.

Running from yourself will always keep you lonely. Embracing yourself will always keep you fulfilled. Regardless of the image staring back at you in the mirror, learn to love it, learn to appreciate it and learn to honor it every day. Self love is your best and only real companion.

Do you want to be alone or continually feel lonely? The choice is yours. But nothing changes until you learn to love your own company, if you don’t, how can you ever ask someone else to?

images… helps you to move forward into your future.

We are always meant to move forward in our lives and not spend time looking backwards. But many of us get stuck looking back at the past. We relive it over and over again keeping ourselves in a viscous cycle of stagnancy.

The only way to move forward in your life is to acknowledge your past – get the lesson from it – and get out of it. By continuing to look back and play the blame game, we never grow into the beings we were meant to. We keep ourselves back.

Your past is your past for a reason. It has set the foundation for you to become who you are today. But if you are unwilling to acknowledge the challenges that were set up for you to specifically overcome, you might instead see yourself as the victim – and victims tend to look back at their past with regret, anger and resentment.

You are NEVER a victim of your life. No matter what you tell yourself, your past is your past for a reason. Your circumstances (no matter how dire they may be) are your catalyst for growth. The degree to which you will evolve in this life is contingent on the degree to which you allow yourself to learn from your past and subsequently make changes so that your future is brighter.

Looking backwards will only keep you stuck in a cycle of pain, remorse, anger and resentment. Your work is to find meaning in your past and shut it down – once and for all. Once you have found the meaning (the lesson), your future will always be brighter. The universe rewards those who move forward in their lives. Those who look back will continue to live the painful past they are focusing on. After all, you can’t start the next chapter of your life if you are still re-reading the last one.
