… they will run away with you.

And they will not return you to a better place.

Fears, like most negative emotions, have a very low vibration. This means that they have the propensity to manifest very quickly. So, if you put your energy into something you’re fearful of, you will only succeed in bringing it into your existence.

Fear is a perception-based reality. What you fear to be real, will be real for you. It’s all based on your perception. The way you look at things determines how those things play out for you. Speaking in front of 100 people, do you let yourself feel pangs of anxiety and panic or do you translate those nerves into excitement and adrenaline rush? What you perceive to be real will indeed be real for you.

Instead of feeding feelings of fear, why not try and re-interpret those feelings so to empower yourself? When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change and your life changes along with it.

Fear stops you from living. It robs you of your life. It keeps you small and robs you from having experiences. Take back your life, re-interpret those feelings of fear so you can explore deeper levels of yourself.

Fear keeps you stuck. Be brave, re-interpret your fear to uncover the empowerment. It’s always there, it’s just a matter of perception. If you let your fears run your life, they will run away with you and where will that leave you?    It’s your life, take back your power — stop feeding fear and start feeding your life again.

feeling pain… running from it is.

Believe it or not, pain isn’t a bad thing. It’s actually an indication that you are learning and growing. All growth requires some level of discomfort; it is called “growing pains.” This pain is inevitable and it signifies the emotional hard work and challenges that we all face day-to-day and for which we valiantly (hopefully) overcome.

But for some reason we try and avoid feeling this pain… we try and avoid it at all costs. But what we really do not understand is that avoiding the pain doesn’t make your life any better, it only intensifies the experience of the pain later on. Why? Because you can only stave off the lesson causing the pain for so long before it comes back with a vengeance. It’s just a matter of time before that lesson will come calling again and when it does, trust me, it means business.

Do yourself a favor. Don’t run from your life by hiding from your pain. Your escapism strategies (drugs, alcohol, food, tv, internet, sleeping, shopping, sex, etc..) only guarantee that you will get hit HARDER later on. Work through the pain when it presents itself the first time – get the lesson and get out so you can move forward with the rest of your life.

The pain isn’t there to torture you unduly so, it is there to enrich you and make you better. Pain is your friend. Go towards it and see what it has for you. When you allow yourself to fully go into the experience of the pain, you very quickly transform it and life gets better very easily. When you avoid that pain, you prolong and perpetuate the feelings of the pain for a very long time. Don’t wallow in your pain, do something about it. Stare it in the face and stare it down. Your life is too short to get shut out by your own pain. Feeling pain is never the problem, running from it always is.

th… unless you make it that way.

These are two completely different concepts. Do you know the difference?

Being alone assumes one loves themselves and fully enjoys and appreciates themselves. They are comfortable in their skin, emotionally well-adjusted and although they enjoy the company of others, they are quite contented to be alone and find just as much happiness and fulfillment in their aloneness.

Being lonely is when you are not comfortable within yourself, when your own company isn’t quite enough to soothe or entertain you. It is when you require someone or something outside of you to make you happy because you cannot find that happiness within yourself. It is when you default to any type of distraction (drugs, alcohol, food, tv, sleep, etc…) to keep you from feeling your own pain and loneliness because the solitude of being on your own is simply too painful to bear.

Running from yourself will always keep you lonely. Embracing yourself will always keep you fulfilled. Regardless of the image staring back at you in the mirror, learn to love it, learn to appreciate it and learn to honor it every day. Self love is your best and only real companion.

Do you want to be alone or continually feel lonely? The choice is yours. But nothing changes until you learn to love your own company, if you don’t, how can you ever ask someone else to?

images… helps you to move forward into your future.

We are always meant to move forward in our lives and not spend time looking backwards. But many of us get stuck looking back at the past. We relive it over and over again keeping ourselves in a viscous cycle of stagnancy.

The only way to move forward in your life is to acknowledge your past – get the lesson from it – and get out of it. By continuing to look back and play the blame game, we never grow into the beings we were meant to. We keep ourselves back.

Your past is your past for a reason. It has set the foundation for you to become who you are today. But if you are unwilling to acknowledge the challenges that were set up for you to specifically overcome, you might instead see yourself as the victim – and victims tend to look back at their past with regret, anger and resentment.

You are NEVER a victim of your life. No matter what you tell yourself, your past is your past for a reason. Your circumstances (no matter how dire they may be) are your catalyst for growth. The degree to which you will evolve in this life is contingent on the degree to which you allow yourself to learn from your past and subsequently make changes so that your future is brighter.

Looking backwards will only keep you stuck in a cycle of pain, remorse, anger and resentment. Your work is to find meaning in your past and shut it down – once and for all. Once you have found the meaning (the lesson), your future will always be brighter. The universe rewards those who move forward in their lives. Those who look back will continue to live the painful past they are focusing on. After all, you can’t start the next chapter of your life if you are still re-reading the last one.

Quotation-Bob-Dylan-criticism-Meetville-Quotes-255021… simply because they don’t understand it.

They either don’t understand the concept or the intent behind the concept. Regardless, they don’t get it – so they tend to shut it down because it doesn’t fit their paradigm of understanding.  Maybe it’s different? Maybe it brings up fear for them? Maybe it challenges their notions of right or wrong? It doesn’t matter. The end result still focuses on negativity.

A truly enlightened being is open to many concepts. This does NOT mean that they adopt everyone’s viewpoint, it just means that they do NOT criticize and place judgment. Their capacity for understanding is greater. They have fewer fears and they have no need to keep themselves in a box to be safe. Instead, they open up to life and its many experiences. This openness gives them a greater wisdom.

In life, it is never “my way or the highway.” That is ignorance talking. There are many roads to enlightenment and happiness in life. Just because you don’t recognize someone else’s road, doesn’t mean it isn’t a good road. People only criticize what they don’t understand. Criticism breeds ignorance.

The answers are never found in ignorance, they are found in understanding. Never shut down what you do not understand. There is something there for you to learn. If you feel the need to criticize something, it might be your lack of ability to find the meaning behind it. Open yourself up. You never know, you might just learn something.

images… but you were always meant to soar.

Fear is a powerful emotion that comes on to protect you from a perceived harm. Fear keeps you “safely” out of situations and keeps you in your nest. But you do not grow in your nest. You only grow from learning what it feels like to fall out of your nest and learn to take flight on your own. You expand your horizons and go to new places and create new nests – this the game of life.

It is important to keep tabs on fear or it has the ability to take over our lives. Often times, fear manifests as anxiety and panic attacks. When you feel anxiety and panic, it’s the body’s way of trying to protect you from a situation or a person you deem harmful. Fear is also your indicator that you are dealing with a life lesson. Anxiety and panic are nothing more than a trigger for you to realize that the discomfort you are feeling is because you are dancing face to face with one of your life lessons – and that is NEVER easy. Here is where the work begins.

Fear would have you run from your life lesson and never learn it – maybe take a pill to quiet the trigger and numb the reminder that you have work to do. You can only do that for so long, your lessons always come back with a vengeance. The work is in recognizing where your patterns are and shedding light on them. Once you realize where the anxiety is coming from, you can begin to heal the experience and apply wisdom to help you move forward in your life.

The answer is always to move through the fear so you can transform it. If you find yourself avoiding situations so to not experience the discomfort of fear, then you are hiding in your nest. You can spend a lifetime in your nest. Ask yourself if you really want to do that? When there is a whole world out there for you to see and you have a beautiful set of wings, it might be time to spread them and take flight. Taking flight is the only thing that will transform your fear.

Time to leap out of that nest. If you allow yourself to stay there, fear will certainly clip your wings and you will never learn to fly. What options do you really have?

Unknown… is a game changer.

And who doesn’t want to change the rules of the game in their favor?

Believing in yourself is the ultimate secret to success in life. The problem is that many of us do not believe in ourselves. In life, those who are the most intelligent and most gifted are usually the ones who doubt themselves the most. They know too much and therefore realize that there is so much more that they still do not know and because of that they are the first to undermine themselves and feel inadequate and unable to compete.

On the other hand, ignorance is always bliss. Those who do not know as much, are usually the ones that blindly charge into opportunities because they have no fear of not knowing enough. They do not know any better so they always go for it. They believe in themselves simply because they do not overthink situations. Since they do not know that they do not know, they take more chances and put it out there more easily.

When you STOP judging yourself and stop applying negative energy such as doubt and fear to situations, you will succeed. Don’t question your intention or your ability to do something, just do it. You are the only one standing in your way. If you are going to apply thought to situations, why not apply positive thinking to support where you want to go in life? As soon as negative thinking steps in, you hold yourself back.

Welcome to the game of life – believing in yourself is the game changer. Get with the program and learn the strategy. Choose NOT to believe in your limitations but believe in your dreams and they will always come true.
