… the universe will take it from you.

Not to punish you, but to push you forward.

You can only hold onto what’s not serving you for so long before the universe intervenes and takes it right away from you.

We are only here to learn and grow through the wisdom of experience. So experiences are crucial to our development. If you find yourself feeling stuck, stagnant, and/or holding onto a job or a relationship passed the expiration date, know that the universe will gladly come in to rebalance your scales and force you forward once again.

The only constant in our lives is change. As humans, we naturally shy away from change but it’s our life force. Honor the cycles of change in your life and give what is no longer working up to a new cycle of growth. Holding onto what has you stuck, will keep you there. Letting it go will free you to move forward. When you learn to let go of what is no longer serving you, it opens you up to the rhythm of life where a better future is guaranteed.

… move with it or it’ll take you out.

Life is in constant motion, shifting and changing. As humans, we have to move with those changes, we cannot resist them. Resisting change is akin to back pedaling through our lives.

In life, always remain fluid. Move like the waters, yet be aware when the tide is changing and act accordingly. Your life is not a constant, it ebbs and flows in cycles and the more conscious you are, the better you are at anticipating those shifts in the tide.

Life is about flowing with the currents, observing the energy and respecting the direction in which it wants to move. If the tide is moving in a certain direction, heed it, life is guiding you towards more tranquil waters.

Respect the cycles of your relationships and jobs — nothing stays the same. Learn to identify the changes in the tides so you don’t get stuck somewhere you don’t want to be.

… it’s not a punishment.

But somehow we tend to get lost in the rejection part and forget why a specific situation is happening.

Life is very simple. Anything that is right for you, will find its way to you when it’s time. There’s no need for struggle. Trust in your divine trust. If it’s not happening, it’s not right for you, at least not right now. Step away from it.

You can always trust the universe to filter out the people and opportunities that are not aligned with your higher purpose. Heed the walls that are put in front of you. They are in place to re-route you and prevent you from running off a cliff.

Resistance is purposeful, it’s not a punishment — it’s always leading you somewhere better.

… you won’t have space for it.

Transitions can be disorienting. No one really likes change, especially when it is thrust onto you. But change represents growth and that is the life force that propels us forward in our lives.

The thing about change is that if you don’t clear a space for the newness that you are seeking, you will have no space for it when it arrives.

You have to let go of what you are holding onto in order to accept something new. But we don’t do that, we generally hold onto what isn’t working until it finally drags us to the floor and we unwittingly surrender our grasp.

You have to let go of what isn’t working to create the space for what will. You can’t have both. In times of transition, you have to trust that what doesn’t feel right, is no longer right for you.

Learn to let your intuition guide you. If it feels good, move in that direction. If it doesn’t feel good, move away from that direction and let it go. Once you let go of what no longer feels right, the universe can replace it with something that IS right.

… it’s ALWAYS the beginning of something new.

It has to be.

One door can’t close without another one opening. Everything is energy and that energy doesn’t just go away; it needs to be redirected. Energy doesn’t just stop; it transitions into something else.

Endings must always lead somewhere new because life is cyclical and change is constant. Nothing ever stays the same. The seeds of what’s ending always fertilize a new beginning. So the question is never “what have I lost” it is “what will I create next?”

An ending is never an ending, it’s always the beginning of something new. Your work is not to lament the ending, but to focus on creating a new and better beginning.

… but because you do.

We have the wrong idea about forgiveness… we think it’s something we give to others, but really, it’s a gift we give to ourselves.

When you leave a situation or relationship angry or resentful, you are NOT free. It takes so much energy to harbor anger and resentment and it keeps you trapped there. But when you leave a situation or relationship with love and gratitude, you are free to move forward into your future.

Animosity keeps you trapped. Forgiveness sets you free. Forgiveness isn’t something you give to another; it’s something you give to yourself. Being free of attachment to another is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves.

When relationships end, let them go. Don’t hold onto the pain and hurt. Forgive. Not because they deserve your forgiveness, but because you do. You deserve to be happy and pain free. Forgiveness is one step closer to getting there.

… just get on with your life.

It’s as simple as that.

Not everything works out the way we want it to, but things always work out the way they are meant to.

If something doesn’t work out for you, it’s because something better is waiting in the wings and if you throw your energy into lamenting what you didn’t get, you’ll miss the opportunity to step into what you are meant to get.

Life is constantly moving and so should you. Getting stuck looking back at what didn’t work will never move you forward into your future. Don’t get caught up lamenting what you didn’t get. It doesn’t matter why you didn’t get it. Just get on with your life. Your life is always ahead of you, never behind you and it is always waiting for you to step bravely into it.

Simple wisdom — if it didn’t work out, it wasn’t right for you. And if you learn to stop chasing all the wrong things, you can give the right things a chance to catch up with you.

… it makes you BETTER.

When you make a mistake, you learn better who you are and what you need to do differently in order to become more whole.

The mistake isn’t a statement of imperfection, it calls attention to the areas within you that are in a state of growth and expansion.

Mistakes are constructive  — they are the stepping stones along our path of personal growth. They take us higher into an understanding of ourselves and what we need to live our best life.

Mistakes don’t make you broken, they make you better. They change you. They highlight areas of improvement for you. They evolve you. They teach you what you will NEVER do again. They make you wiser and put you on a much better life trajectory.

Don’t feel as if you are broken because you made a mistake. Recognize that the mistake is bringing you to a much better place within yourself.

Don’t get caught up in the mistake — Let go of it — take the learning from it, transform yourself and make your life better because of it. You’ll be glad you did.

… is the only way to OPEN to your future.

It’s only when you close one door that another one opens.

Closing the door on the past keeps your energy focused in the present. It shuts out the noise of the past and gives clarity in this moment.

When the door to the past is left open, energies get confused. It’s too easy to hear the cries of the past and be drawn back into it’s grasp. Be strong, softly close the door and open to the stillness of the present moment where you can hear the whisper of your soul.

If something or someone is in your past, it’s behind you. You can close the door on it. If it was meant to be in your present, it would be standing right in front of you and if it is meant to be part of your future, it will come and find you when it’s time.

Close the door on the past so you can get clear with your present. If your past is ever meant to come back to you, it will come knocking once it is healed. Until then, close the door on it — get still with yourself and look for the new open door that’s been waiting for you all along.

… is coming from you.

Always from YOU.

The external world is just a reflection of your own inner state of being. In other words, how you are feeling inside will always be mirrored back to you.

You can’t hide from yourself. The negativity you harbor will bitterly bite you back. The problematic communication you’ve been experiencing will cause problems in all your communications. The agitation and frustration you have been feeling will agitate and frustrate those around you.

The trouble you have with others is always coming from you. Your relationships are an external projection of an internal state of being. If you don’t know what’s going on inside of you, look at your landscape — what and who is showing up around you? How are people treating you? Know that they are always showing up in direct response to the energy that you are emitting.

Keep your side of the street clean. Know what’s yours and give the rest back. When you recognize that the problems you have with others are only projections of your own issues within yourself, you can accept responsibility for the turmoil in your life and ultimately shift it. Do the work inside to heal and your outside world will reflect the changes. The better you feel, the better it gets — it can be no other way.
