That is the only thing you ever need to remember in life. Whatever happens…  it is ALL going to be OK.

We are so quick to judge events in our lives as good or bad. If it gets labeled “good,” it’s time to go out and celebrate, and if it is labeled “bad,” we can easily fall into a dark space feeling somewhat victimized.

The difference between these two states is purely perception. All events in our lives are relatively equal in their capacity to teach us a lesson and mold us into smarter, wiser and more balanced human beings. But indeed, most of our best learning opportunities are experiences that have challenged us.

Don’t judge a situation as good or bad. Once it has been labeled by you, your perception creates your own reality. An event is just that – an event. You are the one who deems it positive or negative and then you will be the only one experiencing the fallout of your own perception.

The wise say, “When you are going through hell, just KEEP GOING.” Don’t stop and label it as hell and allow yourself to suffer. Just keep pushing through it and before you know it, you will come out the other side where the sun is shining. The sun never goes in. It is always out in some part of the world. Just like in life, the sun never sets on us, but we tend to want to wallow in pity and pain and as a result we drag ourselves into long, dark tunnels.

You are in control of whether or not you allow yourself to get stuck in a dark tunnel. Everything is what it is – and it is ALWAYS going to be OK however you decide to label it. So make it easier on yourself. Remember that you are never alone. You are supremely taken care of. There is a divine force in place that is guiding you towards learning and once we realize that our darkness is attributed to our own perceptions, then we can allow the sun to come out again.

Any event is what it is, but it will ALWAYS become what you make of it.

…your life depends on it.

Often times we wish that our lives were more peaceful and more easeful. We fall into the trap of material madness and over-booked schedules. Everyday we are constantly running and running on that never ending mouse wheel – working so hard to have a life yet we have forgotten how to actually live it. What we don’t realize is that the faster you run on the mouse wheel, the FASTER you will have to run to keep up with the pace you have created for yourself. Herein the cycle of insanity begins.

Life is a continuous projection of our thoughts, words and actions. We are the ones who set the pace. If you want to live a hectic and frenzied life, all you need to do is buy into the constant fluctuations of the mind and allow them to lead you all over the place. In other words, we are ruled by our “to-do lists” and as a result, we lead very stressed out lives ushered around by our “monkey minds”. We are so busy trying to make a living that we have completely forgotten how to LIVE (and enjoy) our lives. What is the point of living life like that? We are here for such a finite period of time and if your life cannot be fully enjoyed, then it is not worth living.

If you want the pace of your life to slow down, learn to cultivate a slower pace. That does NOT mean that you do not do everything you want to do, it only means that you learn to breath more stillness into every moment and rush less. Be in the present moment and notice how time expands for you. You will cultivate a new degree of peace and relaxation into every moment.

Your life show up exactly how you anticipate it. You have the choice every day to see your life as “full, yet enjoyable” or to see it as “stressful and chaotic.” When you change your mind’s perception, the situations will change for you and you will find that new degree of peace.

Always remember that you are the one in control. There is nothing outside of you that will ever calm you down and center you. The answers are always within and the answers have to do with how you see life. If you are unhappy with the pace of your life, slow down the wheel, remember YOU are the only one running it.
