… a better plan is coming together for you.

It can be no other way.

Plans are the foundation on which we build our lives. If a plan you’ve worked hard on is falling apart, it obviously isn’t strong enough to support your growth. Don’t be upset that it fell apart before its vision was realized — be grateful that you now know you require a stronger foundation and build it accordingly.

Not every plan is meant to come into fruition. Some plans are more important for where they bring you to then whether or not they materialize.

Trust the process of your life — if something doesn’t come together for you, it’s because something better is just around the corner.

The best laid plans should fall apart if they are not able to support your dreams. Be flexible. If it crashes down, step back and recognize that there is something much better coming together. Know that it’s not a punishment, it’s a reward.

Life is funny like that.

… run towards it.

It has something for you. If it triggers you, it teaches you.

But in our world, we are conditioned to run from fear rather than embrace it.

Buying into the fear, buries you. Facing the fear, transforms you.

If you resist what you fear, it will forever haunt you. But if you face it, you can begin to bring light to it and transform it. Don’t fear the darkness, the unknown brings opportunity.

If the caterpillar got lost in the darkness of the cocoon and gave up the fight, he would never give birth to the beauty of his wings.

Don’t stay stuck in a pattern of fear, you’ll never emerge into the light and without the light, there can no clarity.

Don’t run from what you fear, run towards it. If you fear it, it’s important for your growth, so have at it. If you keep running from it, it’ll come back with a vengeance and take you out. So face your fear head on, tell it to give you its best shot and in doing so, you’ll stand up to it and learn the lesson from it. Fear has no control over you unless you give it.

… once you’re on it, you’re in for a ride.

And that ride is a tough one.

One negative thought begets another begets another, begets another. Once you set down the path of focusing on self-limiting beliefs, fears and anxieties, you spiral down the rabbit hole burying yourself under your own negative thought forms.

Trains have a tendency to pick up momentum as they barrel along the track. The negativity train is fueled by every fearful, depressing thought you’ve ever had and it gains speed and force along the way. Once that train is moving in a swift self-defeating direction, it’s almost impossible to stop the inevitable.

To stop the negativity train, get out ahead of it. Stop those negative thoughts in their tracks before they gain momentum over you and learn to replace those thoughts with thoughts that are more constructive and more inspiring.

Your life is your own. Don’t let the runaway negativity train take you out. If you don’t stop the momentum before it builds, you’ll never know what hit you.

… you have to LET GO of something.

But many us hold onto the burdens of the past and drag them with us. If there is something that is weighing heavy on you and not uplifting you, it may be time to let it go.

The emotional and physical baggage that we drag along with us never gets lighter, it accumulates until eventually it buries us. What in your life are you not dealing with? What are you dragging around with you? If you allow yourself to keep struggling with someone or something in your life, it only brings you down.

If you want to lighten your load, you have to be willing to let go of what is not working in your life in order to make room for what will. You cannot have both.

No one is burdening you — you are choosing to drag what isn’t working in your life around with you. As soon as you decide that you are ready to let go of what is not working, you will create the space to find what will.

Your baggage is your own. Pack lightly. Remember, you carry it all with you.

… not reread.

What’s your story? Is it serving you? Is it bringing you to the place you want to be in your life?

If not, STOP REREADING IT and START REWRITING IT.

You do not have to pack up your history and bring it forward into your destiny. But many of us do.

We do it everyday that we decide we’re going to pack up our negative experiences, thought forms and limited beliefs and define ourselves by them. We do it when we decide that we are a VICTIM of our circumstances rather than a MASTER of them.

Here’s the SECRET: it lies in your perception.

Just because something is true for you, doesn’t mean it has to become your truth. You are in charge of what becomes real for you. And what you give your attention to is what becomes your reality. So, if it isn’t working for you, do not give it any attention and watch it fall away.

The story you tell yourself becomes the story of your life. If that story isn’t working anymore, stop rereading it and start rewriting it. A new chapter is waiting to begin. The question is — are you ready to write it or are you still rereading the last one?

… but not always for the reasons you think.

If someone is standing right in front of you, they are there for a reason. That relationship has something to teach you or contribute to you. But it may not be what you are expecting or hoping for.

We tend to label relationships before we understand their purpose in our lives.

Not every relationship is meant to be in your life forever, but it is meant to be in your life for a purpose.

For example…

Not every love relationship leads to marriage. Some guarantee heartache so you can learn what real love doesn’t look like.

Not every business partnership leads to success. Some ensure failure so you’ll understand how to become successful on your own.

Not every friendship leads to lifetime loyalty. Some encourage betrayal so you’ll learn to trust yourself and rely on your own inner power.

Not every employee respects your power. Some challenge it so you can learn to step fully into that power and own it.

Not every team player supports your team’s initiatives. Some push back on them so you can learn to evolve those initiatives in a stronger way.

Relationships may not always give you what you want; but they’ll always give you what they came to give.

Every relationship is purposeful; your only job is to identify the purpose and let it off the hook for everything else.

… doesn’t make things easier for you.

It makes them HARDER.

Things may not always go the way you intended them to go and that has to be ok. Sure it might be upsetting and sure you might have wished you’d done things differently, and sure you might’ve even tried another approach to fix things but unfortunately was unable. What do you do now?

You can’t change what’s done. Focusing on the disappointment of the past keeps you trapped there. Learning the lesson from that experience frees you to move on.

Learning what you will never do again is by far one of the most powerful lessons one can learn. Transformation is never easy. If it doesn’t hurt, it’ll probably never change you.

Being hard on yourself is never the answer. Transformation is hard work. If you beat yourself up over your learning process, you’ll just impede your growth. Mistakes make you better if you learn from them. Don’t waste your time lamenting those mistakes, use that time to apply the learning and make your future better because of it.
