… is that it’s always changing.

If you’re unhappy with where you are, stick around — it’ll flip soon enough.

Nothing ever stays the same for very long and that’s a good thing. Change is inherent in our universe. What goes up, must come down.

Just like the coin has 2 sides, heads and tails, life has it’s ups and downs. Neither experience is better or worse, they’re just different and provide different learning. And ultimatelyboth sides need to be experienced equally.

Don’t get caught up bemoaning the tails. It’s a waste of your energy. It only keeps you attracting more tails in your life. Remember that for every tail experienced, you get “a-head”, literally.

There’s no good or bad in life, there are only different sides of the coin. Tails are the more challenging experiences that bring you amazing growth. Heads are the rewards for having gotten there. One naturally feels better, the other makes you better. But neither is better than the other.

You want both sides of the coin. They enrich you — they expand you — they push you to your limits — then reward you for your efforts. The flip side of life is that things are always changing and the coin is always flipping. Don’t get caught out lamenting the tails, without them, there would be no heads.

… certainty is already defined.

Most of us fear uncertainty because of its inherent promise of change. But isn’t it much better to be uncertain of where you are than to be certain you are in the wrong place?

Uncertainty brings options. Certainty brings confirmation. Certainty is limited in its potential to please you, but anything can come out of uncertainty.

With uncertainty, the decision is not yet made. Therefore within the uncertainty, there is lots of potential; it just needs to be embraced and embarked upon.

Certainty is already decided for you. Uncertainty gives you a myriad of options if you’re brave enough to explore them. If you can dream it, it can be an uncertain probable outcome.

Don’t fear the uncertainty; embrace it — it’s bringing you to a future which is still yet undefined. Don’t hide from it, make it yours. Grab the uncertainty and get excited at the potential that awaits you. ALWAYS better to be uncertain where you are then to be certain you are in the wrong place.

… it never makes it easier.

We have it all wrong — life is meant to be simple, not a struggle. But we’re the ones who get in our own way — we make it harder then it has to be.

The best decisions in life are the easiest to make. They’re the most fundamental and they make the most sense. They’re the foundation from which we build upon, but overthinking runs that foundation into the ground.

When you overthink things, you lose the spark of inspiration that created it.

Our problem today is that we know too much. We’re inundated with information and we’re too highly educated and informed and rely too heavily on our mental processing to make decisions. We’re trapped in our heads and thus have lost our intuitive guidance. It leaves us KNOWING a lot but not being able to FEEL a whole lot.

Overthinking overcomplicates your life; what good is knowledge if it only confuses you? It’s not what you know, it’s what you feel that makes all the difference in the world.

… it NEVER stands still.

You just have to make sure that you move with it

This is where we tend to get tripped up. We tend to resist change, for fear of the unknown. But change is everything — it keeps us vital. The purpose of our lives is to grow and evolve, not remain static.

Nothing ever remains the same. If you stand in the same place, you collect dust.

If you’re unhappy with an area of your life, MOVE. Move in any direction. It doesn’t matter where you move to, you just have to move because movement brings about change. Inertia keeps you in the same place.

If you sit out on the bench, you’ll go nowhere. It you stand up and take one step, you’ll go somewhere.

You don’t even have to know where that somewhere is, you just have to get up off the bench and take one step — one step in any direction and the universe will do the rest.

Your life path evolves, it can never stand still. You just have to make sure you move with it. Don’t get left behind in your own life. Resisting change doesn’t bring you new opportunities; it only keeps you stuck in the same story. Any time you are ready to change that story, the next phase of your life is ready to begin.

… wrong place, WRONG time.

Timing is everything.

If you’re in the right place in your life, things work seamlessly. If you’re in the wrong place, things don’t come together as easily.

When things come together easefully, you know you’re in the right place. However if you’re struggling for something to come together, it’s a clear sign that it’s not yet time and/or the situation is not right for you.

The universe presents a natural barrier to any situation that is EITHER not right for you or where the timing is not yet right. It has a way of creating resistance on your path to slow you down in order to keep you from advancing in a given direction. Don’t push through that resistance, it’s very purposeful — it protects you from getting onto the wrong path.

Right place, right time. Wrong place, wrong time. Life is like a dance — when you’re out of step with it, nothing works. Trust your path. Trust the fluidity with which things come together or don’t come together. Rest assured that the universe will always bring you to the right place at the right time; you just have to trust in the process to get you there.

… it’s about how you choose to REACT to it.

Your reactions are what make it REAL for you. In essence, nothing can be real until you react to its presence in your life.

Reacting is a just a way of solidifying a situation. Think about it… a situation is just a situation, how you react to that situation will determine your next experience. This is because your reaction sets into motion a set of circumstances that generate a given outcome. So if you react positively, you get a positive outcome. If you react negatively, you get a negative outcome. If you don’t react at all, the outcome is undetermined; it’s awaiting your response.

Think before you react. Your personal reaction will set off a chain reaction of events in your life. Ask yourself how you want a situation to play out and then act accordingly, not unconsciously.

A conscious action has a better chance of yielding a desired outcome. An unconscious reaction will almost guarantee an unfulfilled outcome.

Life isn’t about what happens to you. It’s only about your reaction to it. Because your reaction is what makes it real for you. Next time something happens, how will you react?

… keeps you questioning.

We all push for immediate answers to our most pressing concerns, but answers don’t work that way — they only come in their own time.

Answers on your path are a natural progression of your experience. Solutions cannot be given before you are ready to receive them. You’re not looking for a perfect solution, you’re looking to evolve yourself through step by step experiences. The joy isn’t in a future promise; it’s hidden within in this moment.

Answers are given when you’re ready to enter a new phase. If you don’t have the answer, it’s because you’re not yet ready to move forward, there’s learning in the space where you are right now. Stay there — enjoy it — live it — it has something for you. When you are ready, your experience will give you every answer you need to move in the direction that is right for you. When you grow, you know.

Don’t beat yourself up for not having all the answers. Life isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about making the best decision you can in this moment based on the experience you have so far.

You cannot know where you are going until you are there. Pushing for answers doesn’t bring them sooner — it just highlights the uncertainty. You can run yourself in circles demanding an answer or you can trust the process of your life to bring you to the answer once you are ready to receive it.
