… brings you to the next.

Projecting into a future moment — leaves you stranded.

Being in the present moment is the roadmap to our lives. Living in a future moment sends us careening off-course.

Life isn’t about the future destination of where you’re headed, it’s about the present moment journey into yourself. And every great journey is born out of one step, because one step brings you to the next one, which brings you to the next one, and so on.

Being in the moment secures you on your path. When you are open to the wisdom of the moment, you are infinitely guided to the next step along your journey because you are moving along a path you are standing on. But when you’re living ahead of the moment and projecting yourself into a future moment (which doesn’t yet exist), you are throwing yourself off your path into the bushes and blind guessing where it might lead.

The future doesn’t have your answers. The moment has every answer you will ever need.

Don’t ask your future where you’re headed. The roadmap to your life is secured in this moment. The future moment may never come. If you base your destination on a future moment, you will have missed the richness of all the moments along the way.

Being in this moment brings you to the next. Never make a decision in the future based on a probable outcome which may never come. The only moment you have is in the NOW. When you make your decisions based on this moment, you’re on your path. When you make decisions based on a future moment, you are off in the bushes. Where do you want to be?

… until you don’t have any fight left.

If there is someone or something you want in life, you fight for it. Otherwise you lose it.

How do you know it’s worth fighting for?

If its presence in your life makes you better, makes you happier, lifts you, supports you and challenges you to think of things in a new way — it’s worth fighting for.

If its presence in your life doesn’t shift your consciousness, doesn’t make you feel happy & supported, doesn’t uplift you, doesn’t push you beyond yourself, and doesn’t encourage you to be a better version of yourself — it’s not worth the fight.

Just because it’s difficult DOESN’T MEAN it’s NOT worth fighting for.

Anything worth the fight is worth fighting for. And anything difficult that’s worth fighting for, is challenging your sense of commitment and dedication.

If something is right for you, there will always be solutions. If it is NOT right for you, options will seem impossible.

Listen to how you feel. Your emotions tell you everything you need to know about what is right for you. If it feels right to you, fight and fight harder; if it doesn’t feel right and you’re exhausted and depleted, walk away and give the situation time to heal.

Don’t give up the fight until you’ve lost your will to fight. Decide what is worth fighting for, put forth your best effort, and let the universe do the rest. Answers ALWAYS come when YOU DON’T GIVE UP THE FIGHT.

… doesn’t mean you are finished with it.

We think just because it’s behind us that we’re done with our past. But the past doesn’t work that way. The past is only in our past if we have learned what we needed to learn from it and subsequently let it go.

How do you know if you have let it go? You are no longer attached to it.

So if it’s in your past, but you’re still angry about it, you’re still attached to it.

If it’s in your past, but you’re still upset about it, you’re still attached to it.

If it’s in your past, but you’re still hurting over it, you’re still attached to it.

If after all this time, you’re still having a strong emotional response to that person or event, then clearly you are still attached to it and therefore NOT finished with it. For better or worse, it’s very much still alive in your mind and heart.

You cannot run from your past. Unfortunately if you do not deal with it, it will always come back. Your past has a funny way of finding you when it is time to deal with something you’ve buried. So when your past comes back to you, it’s NEVER an unfortunate mishap, it’s the universe’s way of providing you with another opportunity for closure. Take it.

Just because a chapter of your life closes, doesn’t mean you are finished with it. Learn to not only close it, but find the closure in it.

… they will run away with you.

And they will not return you to a better place.

Fears, like most negative emotions, have a very low vibration. This means that they have the propensity to manifest very quickly. So, if you put your energy into something you’re fearful of, you will only succeed in bringing it into your existence.

Fear is a perception-based reality. What you fear to be real, will be real for you. It’s all based on your perception. The way you look at things determines how those things play out for you. Speaking in front of 100 people, do you let yourself feel pangs of anxiety and panic or do you translate those nerves into excitement and adrenaline rush? What you perceive to be real will indeed be real for you.

Instead of feeding feelings of fear, why not try and re-interpret those feelings so to empower yourself? When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change and your life changes along with it.

Fear stops you from living. It robs you of your life. It keeps you small and robs you from having experiences. Take back your life, re-interpret those feelings of fear so you can explore deeper levels of yourself.

Fear keeps you stuck. Be brave, re-interpret your fear to uncover the empowerment. It’s always there, it’s just a matter of perception. If you let your fears run your life, they will run away with you and where will that leave you?    It’s your life, take back your power — stop feeding fear and start feeding your life again.

… even when you think it isn’t.

You may not understand WHY things happen the way they do in your life, but that doesn’t mean that they’re NOT purposeful.

Not everything that happens to you will make sense right away. In fact, in most cases, things that you deem “bad,” will turn out to be the very best things that ever happened to you. Why, you might ask? Because we never have full clarity in the moment. We never realize why things are happening the way they are because transition stirs up the dust so we cannot see clearly. But once the dust settles, we can see why we are, where we are, and it always make sense.

All you can do in life is chart a course and then stay that course. But that does not mean that you’ll NOT be detoured off that course. In other words, you can pick a path for yourself, but if it’s a path that you’re not meant to be on, you’ll be tossed off it and thrown onto a different path. And as traumatic as that transition is, it always lands you onto a much better path. Trust that.

Trust the process of your life. Things are always working out for you, even when you do not realize that they are. The universe works behind the scenes to bring you to exactly the right circumstances for you. You may not always get what you want, but you’ll always get what you need, whether or not you know you need it at the time. Everything is always working out for you, you’re never at a loss. Once you understand that, your life will change in the most amazing ways.

… and it will soon become comfortable.

Resisting “what is” makes things difficult. Making peace with the discomfort opens up opportunities.

We are comfort-seeking creatures. We would like everything to be easy and pleasurable, but life doesn’t always work that way.

When discomfort arises, we always have 2 choices: we can either RESIST IT and PUSH AGAINST IT or we can learn to LET IT PASS THROUGH US and DETACH FROM IT. We want to learn to transform the discomfort, not feed it.

Think about it — hitting your head on the wall over and over again only gives you a headache; it doesn’t move the wall. Learn to step back from the wall, take a breath and open your eyes, you might just realize that there is a way to WALK AROUND THE WALL. Not everything has to be difficult. Resistance increases your frustration, but acceptance allows you to find new alternatives.

Learn to be comfortable within the discomfort and you’ll transform it. Continue to focus on the frustration of the discomfort and you’ll create more of it. Life is not always going to bring you roses, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find joy in the rest of your garden. How comfortable are you in your life?

if-something-feels-right… it FEELS right.

You just know it. It doesn’t have to make sense.

In life, it’s all about what you FEEL, not what you KNOW — believe it or not.

In our daily lives, we tend to make decisions from our head, not our heart; therein is our problem.

Decision making can be complicated — our first thought is always from the heart/the intuition/the soul — it gets you excited and enthusiastic about a course of action — “I can do this, I can leave my job and start something new for myself.”

The second thought is born of the head/fear/the ego — it quickly comes in to override your creative impulse and give you every reason why it CAN’T be done — “I can’t do this, I don’t have enough money saved, I don’t have the education or the experience, etc…”

The head is limiting. The heart is expansive.

The head will keep you small by “keeping you safe” while the heart will push you to take chances and will expand you beyond your comfort zone where greatness awaits.

A safe life will NEVER make you great. When making a decision ask yourself WHAT FEELS RIGHT — NOT WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT. The right answer is always in HOW YOU FEEL, NOT WHAT YOU KNOW.

Allow yourself to feel your way though your life and if something resonates with you, move in that direction. The resources and the know-how will always follow. You are never without your own guidance system. You will always know if something is right for you because of the way it makes you feel. How are you feeling today?
