… not action.

The opportunities that are aligned for you will make their way to you when you are aligned with them. Many of us confuse getting to the next level with taking a certain action. What do I have to do in order to get to the next level? Who do I have to contact? Who should I partner with?

But next level isn’t about achieving a physical status, it’s about leveling up your vibration. It’s NOT about what you do in life, it’s more about who you are being in your life. When you are busy being your highest self, the universe will be busy lining you up with the highest vibrational opportunities possible.

Don’t try and look for all the answers; just ask yourself who you are, what do you want to share with the world and how do you want to show up to the world? That’s the work. From that true and authentic place within, the universe can begin to align you with the right opportunities for you to shine.

Next level is about vibration, not action. When you’re aligned with what you want to create in the world, the manifestation of that creation will make itself known to you.

… it’s about collaboration.

We’re moving away from separatism and into collectivism. There’s strength in numbers and there’s power in community. If the sum of the whole is always greater than its individual parts, why then are we still operating solo? Why are we struggling individually to achieve creature comforts than could be easily had via cooperation?

There is a reason why indigenous people created community. They knew that if they had each other’s backs that they would naturally be more abundant, more efficient and more fulfilled. It’s a simple but profound concept.

There is a resurgence towards collectivism and community on our planet. It’s not about competition anymore, it’s about collaboration. In your life, how can you work in cooperation with others to create a sum greater than that of its parts? Who can you collaborate with to bring your gifts, talents and interests to life in a much more cohesive and meaningful way? How can you benefit from others’ experience and ideas and they by yours?

In our new world paradigm, our delivery system for success is collaboration and partnership. We’re not competing with each other anymore, we’re learning to work together to create a much better world. Are you in?

Dancing With Your Demons

… is easier than trying to lasso them to the ground.

It just is.

Think about it… when your demons come up (and they always do), it’s much harder to suppress them then it is to face them and renegotiate with them.

It takes so much emotional and physical strength to wrestle your demons back down when you see them come up. Then you have to be careful where you tread because you will naturally run into situations and people who trigger those demons. It’s exhausting to try and hypercontrol your life so to avoid awakening your demons. Better to face them when they come up and renegotiate a better plan for them.

When you address your demons straight on, you can learn from them, grow from them and transform them once and for all. No one says it will be easy, but it is the healthiest way to deal with those demons.

Don’t let your demons destroy you; they are very purposeful. They allow you to acknowledge the darkness, for it is only through your darkness that you can transform yourself into the light.

… not reread.

What’s your story? Is it serving you? Is it bringing you to the place you want to be in your life?

If not, STOP REREADING IT and START REWRITING IT.

You do not have to pack up your history and bring it forward into your destiny. But many of us do.

We do it everyday that we decide we’re going to pack up our negative experiences, thought forms and limited beliefs and define ourselves by them. We do it when we decide that we are a VICTIM of our circumstances rather than a MASTER of them.

Here’s the SECRET: it lies in your perception.

Just because something is true for you, doesn’t mean it has to become your truth. You are in charge of what becomes real for you. And what you give your attention to is what becomes your reality. So, if it isn’t working for you, do not give it any attention and watch it fall away.

The story you tell yourself becomes the story of your life. If that story isn’t working anymore, stop rereading it and start rewriting it. A new chapter is waiting to begin. The question is — are you ready to write it or are you still rereading the last one?

… doesn’t make things easier for you.

It makes them HARDER.

Things may not always go the way you intended them to go and that has to be ok. Sure it might be upsetting and sure you might have wished you’d done things differently, and sure you might’ve even tried another approach to fix things but unfortunately was unable. What do you do now?

You can’t change what’s done. Focusing on the disappointment of the past keeps you trapped there. Learning the lesson from that experience frees you to move on.

Learning what you will never do again is by far one of the most powerful lessons one can learn. Transformation is never easy. If it doesn’t hurt, it’ll probably never change you.

Being hard on yourself is never the answer. Transformation is hard work. If you beat yourself up over your learning process, you’ll just impede your growth. Mistakes make you better if you learn from them. Don’t waste your time lamenting those mistakes, use that time to apply the learning and make your future better because of it.

… will only disappoint you.

We all have our own baseline expectations of how people should behave in given situations BUT expecting people to uphold those expectations is both unrealistic and unfair to everyone.

It’s ok to have high standards for personal decorum, but it’s not ok to put those standards on others.

Putting those standards on others sets them up to fail and sets you up to be disappointed. Let people be who they are and IF WHO THEY ARE DOESN’T WORK FOR YOU – MAKE ANOTHER DECISION, but don’t waste one moment hoping/expecting they’ll show up differently.

Expecting people to be other than who they are is a game you’ll NEVER win. It only sets you up for disappointment when they don’t come through. Recognize that you can’t fix people and you can’t change them, but you can learn to accept them for who they are and LET THEM OFF THE HOOK for everything they cannot be for you.

People are messy and they come with their own limitations. Don’t get caught up in those limitations – they’ll only frustrate you. Remember that it isn’t your job to hold up a mirror to their lack of self-awareness. If they cannot see themselves, there isn’t anyway you’re going to be able to show them who they are.

Learn to know the cards you are holding – learn to know the person who is sitting right across from you and NEVER EXPECT THEM TO BE OTHER THAN WHO THEY ARE and you’ll never be disappointed.

… is a step closer towards success.

But we were never taught that.

We view failure as a setback, but in reality “failure” is NOT a setback, but a necessary “step-BACK” along our path towards success. Sometimes it’s necessary to step back in life to regroup and re-calibrate so that we can move forward in a stronger, more definitive way.

It’s important to understand that success is very rarely a steady trajectory upwards. By it’s definition, it’s frought with many step-backs — it has to be. After all, if you didn’t know failure, how could you ever really come to know success?

Our lives are about taking 1-step forward, 2-steps back and it’s the steps-back that enable us to “re-trace” our steps in order to do things better next time. The steps back allow you to process the wisdom you’ve already garnered and make some new decisions with it.

Failure is never falling short of your goal — it’s part of the process it takes to get there. When you learn what doesn’t work, you begin to understand more about what will work. Rejoice in your failures, they innately set you up onto a more solid foundation moving forward. The only way to get to the next highest mountain top is to come down the side of the mountain you’re on. Don’t fight the downhill slide, use that experience to go higher up the next mountain.
